ABOUT

Missouri City middle- and high-school students join the prestigious Mayor's Youth Commission (MYC) each year to voluntarily serve their community. The high-achievers represent Ridge Point, Bellaire, Hightower, Marshall, Dulles and Elkins high schools, along with the Missouri City, Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, First Colony and Harmony middle schools. Students sign up each Fall and serve for a full school year.

The Missouri City Mayor’s Youth Commission is a coalition of students dedicated to representing the youth through civic leadership in efforts to serve and improve the community.

OFFICE POSITIONS:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Historian

All offices are for a one year term with no limit to the number of terms. The following positions are available.

MEMBERSHIP

  • Be a citizen within the corporate City limits of Missouri City OR attend a Missouri City high school
  • Make a commitment to attending all MYC meetings; members should not have more than 2 excused absences
  • Return completed application through either:
