What Is GIS?


A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a combination of data, hardware, software and trained staff that, when combined, allows us to visualize and analyze geographical data and make informed decisions.

Interactive Web Maps
Zoom in, pan around, and identify details in our interactive maps. Currently zoning, benchmarks, traffic counts and memorial trees maps are available. A new interactive feature called a story map has been added to this section. The Missouri City Major Construction Improvements story map allows the user to get the details about projects in varying degrees of completion in the city and its ETJ. Take a look at all that is going on around town.
