Community Development

The Community Development Division is committed to creating a high-quality, vibrant community by establishing and managing healthy neighborhoods and a strong economic base while managing multiple programs designed to maintain the quality of neighborhoods and affordable housing through local and federal funds. Revitalization of neighborhoods is provided through participation in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. With this grant, the City funds programs for housing, neighborhood improvement and public services. It acts as a one-stop shop for community services including:

  • Community Development Block Grant Program
  • Post - Secondary Education Program
  • Fair Housing Resources
  • Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program
  • Public Service Agencies
  • Code Enforcement
  • Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program
  • 2016 Infrastructure Project (DR-4266, DR-4269 and DR-4272)
