Police & Fire Academy Begins May 10
Missouri City's Citizens' Police & Fire Academy begins Tuesday, May 10 and offers a "behind-the-scenes" view of the dangers police officers and firefighters face on the job. The free, seven-week program is open to residents.

Real World Training
Participants receive instruction in:
  • Traffic laws and criminal law
  • Firearms training simulator
  • Motor vehicle extrication using the jaws-of-life
  • Principles of CPR
  • Live fire demonstration
  • and much more...
There will be a staged SWAT operation, a Dive Rescue Team demonstration, traffic stops, building searches, and crime scene investigations.

Applicant Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Live or work in Missouri City
After completing the academy, members will be eligible to join the Missouri City Police & Fire Auxiliary and/ or the Citizens Response Team.
