Missouri City middle- and high-school students join the prestigious Mayor's Youth Commission (MYC) each year to voluntarily serve their community. The high-achievers represent Ridge Point, Bellaire, Hightower, Marshall, Dulles and Elkins high schools, along with the Missouri City, Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, First Colony and Harmony middle schools. Students sign up each Fall and serve for a full school year.

Our Mission

The Missouri City Mayor’s Youth Commission is a coalition of students dedicated to representing the youth through civic leadership in efforts to serve and improve the community.



  •                                                   How to Apply
  • Be a Missouri City citizen between the 7th and 12th grades
  • Complete the application
  • Make a commitment to attending meetings; missing more than three meetings is not allowed
  • Return application and recommendation via email to Jennifer McCalmon Obi, fax to 281-403-8649, mail or return in person to:
