What: The City of Missouri City, AccessHealth, and other community partners will host their annual Back-to-School Health Fair. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will be the first-ever drive-through health fair. Services offered to students include school immunizations, vision screenings, dental screenings, COVID-19 vaccinations, and backpack giveaways, as well as food distribution from the Houston Food Bank.
“We are happy to join AccessHealth and our community partners in helping Missouri City students get valuable health screenings and supplies, so they can start off the school year on the right foot,” said Interim City Manager Bill Atkinson. “The resources provided assist thousands of families in the Missouri City area.”
“Access Health is excited about hosting the Back to School Health Fairs again this year,” said Sharonda DeBose, Patient Access Systems & Support Director at AccessHealth. “In the past, we have had the pleasure of providing the community with health screenings, education and school supplies. Last year was a trying year for many. Our goal is to assure that students returning to school in 2021 are prepared, healthy, and properly vaccinated.”
When: Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 9 am to noon; Drive-through event
