The holiday season is near and Missouri City has planned several events, activities and camps for the whole family to enjoy. Mark your calendar and close out year 2021 with the MCTX team. For more information or to register for any of these events listed below, call 281.403.8637 or visit

Adaptive Group Games

  • What: Join us for an afternoon of board games, bingo and more.
  • When: Thursday, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2
  • Time: 10 a.m. to noon
  • Location: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Cost: $5

Park Clean Up

  • What: Join Councilmember Vashaundra Edwards and others to make a difference in our community by volunteering to help clean up the park.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 6
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Location: Buffalo Run Park, 1122 Buffalo Run Blvd.

Outdoor Expo

  • What: Join us for exciting activities like archery, fishing, bow fishing, conservation, wildlife education, outdoor cooking, camping and more.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 13
  • Time: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Location: Community Park, 1700 Glenn Lakes Lane
  • Cost: Families may bring their own dinner or pay $5 per person for a hot meal. 

Adaptive Drum Circle

  • What: Enjoy various musical exercises led by an instructor in an encouraging and structured environment. 
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11
  • Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Cost: $7

Senior Bingo

  • What: Come and enjoy some breakfast with us and win some great prizes.
  • When: Thursday, Nov. 18
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Location: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Cost: $5 per person, pay at the door and maximum of 75 participants.

Fall Break Camp

  • What: Register your kids to join in the fun at the three day camp featuring recreational activities, games and competitions.
  • When: Monday, Nov. 22; Tuesday, Nov. 23 & Wednesday, Nov. 24
  • Time: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost:   $80 per week or $30 per day

Senior Trip

  • What: Get into the holiday spirit and take a bus ride to see “A Christmas Carol” at the Alley Theatre.
  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 23
  • Time: Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.; bus will depart at 9 a.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: $40 Bus/Ticket Cost; Lunch on your own.

Snowfest Parade

  • What: Plan to join us with the kiddos at the traditional Snowfest Parade.
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 4
  • Time: 9 a.m.
  • Location: Parade will begin at the corner of Cartwright Rd. and FM 1092 and will end just past Columbia Blue Dr. 
  • Cost: FREE

Snowfest Festival

  • What: This traditional event will have a variety of winter fun activities, fireworks, the lighting of the tree and more!   
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 4
  • Time: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Location: City Hall Complex, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: FREE

Teen Life Skills Lab: Financial Literacy

  • What: Learn the importance of financial planning for teens. 
  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 14
  • Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: $15

Family Fun Night: Holiday Mini Golf

  • What: Join us for a night of family friendly competition featuring 18 holes of fun and seasonal carnival-style activities.
  • When: Friday, Dec. 17
  • Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: $10 per group of up to 6

Winter Break Camp

  • What: Let the kids run out their energy at the winter break camp. The Parks team has different activities for them to play games, engage in recreational activities and competitions.  
  • When: Dec. 20 – 23 and Dec. 27 - 30
  • Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: $80 per week or $30 per day
