Lights…camera…snap your favorite City picture and enter it into the “Show Me Missouri City Parks Photo Contest”.
The community competition is designed to highlight the year-round beauty and fun that can be found in our beautiful parks, in our recreation center and on our scenic nature trails. The contest is open through Aug. 31 at midnight to all amateur photographers—both residents and non-residents. All photographs submitted must be unpublished and there is a limit of three entries per person. A parent or guardian must sign an entry form for submissions from individuals who are 17 and younger.
First and second place winners will be chosen by Oct. 1 and notified by phone. All winning photos will become the property of the City and be displayed in the “Show Me Missouri City” newsletter, in the Parks & Recreation Newsletter and on the Parks’ Facebook page.
For Facebook fans, there will be a “Most Popular” contest starting the first week of September and the submission with the most “likes” will win a prize; voting ends on Friday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. The contest rules and registration forms can be found on the City website, or they can be picked up at the Parks & Recreation Department, 2701 Cypress Point Dr., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those who reach the photo finish line will receive the following awards:
