This month, Missouri City has a number of initiatives taking place that would benefit from citizen engagement: Development Services is seeking public input and feedback for a CDBG disaster recovery grant application, the Financial Services Department is facilitating a public auction and the Code Enforcement Division is resuming trash placement enforcement citywide. Citizens are encouraged to participate in the development of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to the Texas General Land Office for grant funds to install flood gauges at key locations. The 14-daycomment period is Dec. 4 to Dec. 17, 2017.

Missouri City is running an Online Public Auction through Thursday, Dec. 7. Items range from vehicles and tires as well as a mower, generator, lawn equipment and more.

Starting Friday, Dec. 1, Code Enforcement Officers resumed issuing warnings and citations for trash placement offenses. And, on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, staff will resume enforcing fence and debris regulations.
Following Hurricane Harvey, Missouri City suspended enforcement of these violations to assure homeowners in all communities had an opportunity to focus on rebuilding and recovering from the storm.
