The Missouri City’s Citizens’ Police and Fire Academy is intended for community members who wish to be more informed on Public Safety as well as those contemplating a career in the field. This program offers a behind-the-scenes view of what Firefighters and Police Officers face daily. The free, eight-week program is open to Missouri City residents and classes will be held from 6: 20 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Public Safety Headquarters, 3849 Cartwright Rd.
Admission is considered on a first-come, first served basis (limited to 24 students).
Prior to acceptance, applicants' background will be checked pertaining to arrests for prior criminal offenses. A prior conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant and will be considered only as it relates to this academy.
