City Secretary

Patrice Fogarty

Patrice Fogarty joined Missouri City as City Secretary in 1998. She previously served in that capacity for the Cities of Dickinson and Beaumont.

She served as the 2006 President of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association, Inc., and chaired the Advisory Management Committee of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association (TMCA), Inc. She also held the office of secretary, 2003; vice president, 2004; president-elect, 2005; and board trustee, 3 years. She chaired the Certification Committee, served 11 years as chair of the TMCA Technology Committee; service on the Resolution, Audit, Scholarship, and Administrative Management committees; twice authored a chapter on municipal courts, 6th & 7th editions, for the Texas Municipal Clerks Handbook; and has written numerous newsletter articles for TMCA. Other professional associations include board memberships with the local Salt Grass Chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association and instructor roles for State municipal clerk programs and Houston metropolitan area seminars.

Honored as the Texas Municipal Clerk of the Year in 2003, Fogarty graduated as a Texas Registered Municipal Clerk in 1997 from the University of North Texas. She is a Certified Municipal Clerk by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and has been accepted into the IIMC Master Municipal Clerk Academy. She is vice-chair of the IIMC Program Review and Certification Committee, with a commitment to serve as the 2010 chair of this committee.
