Training and Education Division

The Training Division is staffed by one fulltime administrative Chief Officer. The Training Chief utilizes on shift certified instructors to provide progressive and up to date continuing education in the areas of fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue, and emergency medical services. He/She is also responsible for writing policies and procedures, program development, scheduling, implementation and delivery of new programs, career development, administration of promotional examinations and continued professional research.

Missouri City Fire and Rescue Services personnel also attend outside training. Its members regularly attend outside schools, seminars and conferences around the state and country. Classes in officer development, fire suppression, high angle rescue, confined space rescue, hazardous material, arson detection, and EMS are to just name a few. Utilizing this training Missouri City Fire and Rescue Services personnel are able to be progressive and up to date on new means and methods in the fire service.
