Criminal Investigation

Typically when a crime is reported to the Police Department, it is forwarded to the CID for review by the sergeant. Based upon criteria established by the Police Department, the case may or may not be assigned for further investigation. The reason some cases are not assigned is primarily due to the lack of sufficient leads for the detective to pursue. Of those cases that are assigned, the assigned detective will contact the complainant as soon as he or she is able.

If you have been a victim of a crime in the City of Missouri City, you are encouraged to contact the Missouri City Police Department at 281-403-8700, to make a report.
