  1. City Council Meeting

    The City Council meets regularly on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are open to the public. The City Council sets policy for the governance of the City of Missouri City. Missouri City Television rebroadcasts regular City Council meetings on Channel 16 on Comcast Cable and on Channel 99 on U-Verse. Current and archived meeting information are available on this website; go to the home page and click on “Online Service Center.” Current Council meeting packets are available by clicking the "More Details" link which is activated 72 hours before the meeting.

  2. Senior Casino Trip

    Travel with great company to the Delta Downs Casino! The fun-filled day will include socializing, dining and game play. This trip has limited capacity - to reserve your spot, stop by the Recreation & Tennis Center to pay the $10 transportation fee. All trip participants are responsible for providing their own money for lunch and game play. On the day of the trip, we will meet at the Recreation & Tennis Center at 8:15 am and leave at 8:30 am.

  3. Parks Board

    September 4, 7:00 PM @ Council Chamber - City Hall (2nd Floor)

    Consists of thirteen members appointed by City Council for staggered two year terms. This Board serves in an advisory capacity to City Council on parks and recreation policy matters. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month in the City Council Chamber. Missouri City residence is required.

    Are you a food enthusiast? Enjoy meeting new friends? Join us for Senior Foodies! This program for senior citizens (50+), is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant with great company. All participants are encouraged to RSVP at the Recreation & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637. On the day of the event we will meet at the designated lunch location. Your name will already be on the registration list and you will be escorted to the seating area. Separate checks will be issued for each participant.

  5. Planning and Zoning Meeting

    The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of nine members that reside in the City and are appointed by City Council for staggered two year terms. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at City Hall in the Council Chambers.

  6. Composting Tutorial

    By attending this tutorial, participants will learn how to compost at home! The cost of this class is $15 for each person registering. Accompanying family members are free. Each person registering will receive one compost bin valued at $60. Only one compost bin will be given out per family.

    This program is for senior citizens (50 & up). Come fellowship with your peers, enjoy breakfast and play competitive rounds of bingo for great prizes! Get your ticket at the Recreation & Tennis Center by paying the $5 program fee. Breakfast will be served at 9:30 am and bingo will begin at approximately 10:00 am.

  9. Pickleball: Open House

    The Missouri City Rec & Tennis Center invites you to learn and play one of the fastest growing sports in America. Pickleball is a racquet sport played by 2-4 people that has elements similar to badminton and tennis. This beginner’s open house is designed to teach the basics of the game in a friendly atmosphere.

    Participants will receive a FREE lunch during the open house. Registration is required. Day- of registrations will only be taken if there is availability. RSVP by calling 281-403-8637.

  10. Afternoon with an Expert

    Afternoon with an Expert is a monthly series designed to give senior citizens insight into different areas of expertise. For the September session, we are excited to host Olympic champion, Nia Nicole Abdallah who competed in the 2004 Olympic Games and was the first and youngest American female to receive a medal for Taekwondo in the Olympics since 1992.

    During her presentation, Abdallah will walk us through her story and give a demo of Taekwondo. RSVP for this exciting seminar by calling 281-403-8637.
