How can I determine job opportunities or vacancies with the city?
The Human Resources / Organizational Development (HR/OD) Department posts all vacant positions on the
jobs section
of the city’s website as vacancies become available.

How do I apply for a position?
The City of Missouri City accepts
online applications
only. As such, all applicants must complete an online application, which will remain in our system, then apply for the position of interest by following the online prompts.

How do I determine if the city received my online application?
Once an individual submits their application for a specific vacancy, the system will generate and email a notice confirming receipt of their application. Generally we recommend that applicants check their junk mail folder if they do not receive an electronic confirmation within 24 hours of submitting an application.
4.
Do you accept applications for future positions?
The HR/OD department accepts online applications for current vacancies only. Individuals interested in employment with the city should check the vacancy listing frequently and strongly encouraged to apply for those positions for which they qualify.
5.
Must an applicant submit a resume with their application?
While the city does not require a resume, an applicant may attach a resume or similar supporting documents, including copies of certificates or a cover letter.
6.
Can an applicant apply for more than one position?
Yes, an applicant - once they complete the online application - may apply for any position they find of interest and for which they meet the minimum qualifications or requirement.
7.
How do I determine the minimum requirements or basic qualifications each job requires?
Each job posting has a section (towards the bottom of the posting) that details the minimum education and/or experience each position requires or desires.
8.
What benefits does the city offer and to whom?
The city offers benefits to full-time employees only as outlined in the city’s Personnel Policy Manual.
