1. How do I report a code violation?

To report a code violation, call the city's Code Enforcement Hot Line at 281.403.8560.

You may also report a code violation online through the citizen request center. If you are a first time user, you will need to establish a user name and password.

2. Do I need to have a rental home inspected before renting it out?

All rental residential properties require an owner to register them annually. The fee is $50 per property. The rental house is inspected one time annually to insure that it meets minimum adopted codes.

If the property is found to be safe and sound, it is allowed to be occupied. Rental inspections help to keep the property at a high market value.

3. How do I report an abandoned car?

Call the city's Code Enforcement Hot Line at 281.403.8560 for abandoned vehicles left on private property.

Citizens wishing to report abandoned vehicles left on a public roadway are asked to call the Missouri City Police Department at 281.403.8700.
