Responsibilities & Services
The Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department is a Gold Medal Award-winning department that maintains and operates 20 developed
parks totaling 393 acres. The department also maintains the
Missouri City Recycling Center.
The
Recreation and Tennis Center houses a cardio and weight room, gymnasium, batting cages, multi-purpose rooms, locker rooms and tennis courts.
Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department has daytime and evening recreational programs and provides numerous
special events throughout the year.

Parents' Night Out

Rec & Tennis Center
Parents - have a night out on the town while your kids enjoy a fun evening of activities! All participants are encouraged to arrive at 6:00 p.m. and can be picked up any time before 10:00 p.m. The evening will begin with dinner followed by an exciting schedule of group games, crafts, tennis and video games.
Spring Garage Sale
Saturday, June 1
8:00 am - 12:00 pm

This is a free event for those wishing to browse and make purchases. Booth spaces can be purchased for $20 at the Recreation & Tennis Center. Payments of cash or checks addressed to Missouri City Green will be accepted.
Kids Fish
Saturday, June 1
8:00 am - 11:00 am
Community Park
Join us for a morning of fishing in Community Park. Bait and fishing equipment will be provided or you are welcome to bring your own. All fish caught can be measured for size. Free snacks will be provided during the event!
Babysitter's CPR Course
Saturday, June 22
10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Rec & Tennis Center
Are you babysitting this summer? Prepare yourself by becoming CPR certified. This CPR course is specifically geared toward teenage babysitters. Pre-register at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637. All participants must bring $25 on the day of class to pay the instructor. The $25 registration fee includes all training and the certification card.
Doubles Tournament
June 28-30

Rec & Tennis Center
The 1st Annual Missouri City Doubles Tournament is sponsored by Republic Services. All matches will be 2 sets, no add, 7 point tie break at 6 all. 3rd set will be a 10 point match tie break. Two matches guaranteed! Complimentary player’s lunch will be on Saturday, June 29. Tournament cost is $40. Make checks payable to Recreation & Tennis Center or
register online.
