Senior Casino Trip

Travel with great company as we journey to the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana! Upon arriving to the casino, trip participants will receive a $10 gaming voucher. This trip has limited capacity - to reserve your spot, stop by the Rec & Tennis Center!

Join us for a night filled with creepy crawly entertainment! The Fort Bend County Master Gardeners will be on hand to teach participants about helpful insects and share cool bug displays. Families will enjoy bug themed activities, crafts, and leave with their own lady bugs!

The evening will have an open format; families can come and go at their own leisure. Parent supervision is required throughout the evening.

Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a morning of FREE nature activities at Missouri City’s Edible Arbor Trail! Parking is available at the YMCA (4433 Cartwright Rd) and Southminister Presbyterian Church (4200 Cartwright Rd).

Acrylic Painting Classes

Cost: $75 per 5 week session

Classes are taught by professional painter Heather Roy. Each session, participants will complete an acrylic painting to take home. All supplies are provided!

The Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department hosts senior bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+. Come fellowship with your peers, enjoy breakfast and play friendly rounds of bingo for great prizes! Tickets can be purchased at the door. Breakfast will be available from 9:00 - 9:30 am. Bingo rounds will follow after.

MCTX Fest

Come out for a day full of music, art, and food at our first MCTX Fest! Try food from local restaurants and check out our art market featuring local artisans. Sit back and enjoy the variety of live music on the big stage throughout the day. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Trash-Off 2017

Join the largest one day cleanup effort in Texas! Volunteers will be assigned various parks and trails in Missouri City to remove trash from before returning to the Community Center for a reception and awards. 

NOTE: All participants under 18 must be supervised by an adult. ALL volunteers need to complete a signed waiver and bring to event in order to participate. To register for this event, visit Missouri City Green's website.
