Breakfast & Bingo

Senior Bingo

The Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department hosts senior bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+. Come fellowship with your peers, enjoy refreshments and play friendly rounds of bingo for great prizes! Tickets can be purchased at the door. This program is held at the Rec & Tennis Center and rotates each month from morning to evening.

Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

Cost: $30 per person, including one free rain barrel

Fort Bend County Master Gardener Water Specialists will show you how to set up a rainwater harvesting system using a barrel and share easy ways you can conserve water in your home. Pre-registration is required and the class is limited to the first 30 registrants. This workshop is hosted by Missouri City Green in partnership with Fort Bend Master Gardeners and Missouri City Parks & Recreation. To register you can pay online through Missouri City Green's website or mail in a check and the registration form on the bottom of the flyer.


Senior Casino Trip

Travel with great company to the Delta Downs Casino! The fun-filled day will include socializing, dining and game play. All trip participants are responsible for providing their own money for lunch and game play. On the day of the trip, we will meet at the Recreation & Tennis Center at 7:15 am and leave at 7:30 am. All trip participants will be required to fill out a waiver. Upon arriving to the Delta Downs Casino each participant will have their choice to receive a $5 playing card OR a $10 dining credit. This trip has limited capacity - to reserve your spot, stop by the Recreation & Tennis Center to pay the $10 transportation fee.

Are you a food enthusiast? Enjoy meeting new friends? Join us for Senior Foodies! This program for senior citizens (50+), is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant with great company. All participants are encouraged to RSVP at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637. On the day of the event, we will meet at the designated lunch location. Separate checks will be issued for each participant.


Shrimp Boil Tennis Festival

Missouri City's Shrimp Boil Tennis Festival invites doubles teams for a Saturday full of tennis fun! The tournament guarantees 2 matches per team. A complimentary player's shrimp boil lunch will be served. Extra lunch tickets can be purchased for $15. To register, drop off or mail payments and entry forms to the Recreation & Tennis Center. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 22.

Join us for a trip to Old Town Spring! Browse through over 150 shops - boutiques, museums, galleries, restaurants and antique shops and enjoy a tasty lunch at Ellen’s Cafe. This trip will also include a stop at the National Museum of Funeral History. This educational experience is like no other and offers something for everyone. Discover America’s largest collection of authentic, historical funeral service items. Learn about caskets and coffins, hearses through history, plus the funerals of Presidents, Popes, celebrities and more while you witness the cultural heritage of the funeral service industry and its time-honored tradition of compassion. 

Check in begins at 8:45 am and the bus leaves at 9:00 am. Register at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637.

Acrylic Painting Class

Painters of all skill levels are invited to join this five session class. Classes are taught by Professional painter, Heather Roy and all supplies are provided. Sign up at the Rec & Tennis Center to create your own masterpiece!

Tricks & Treats in the Park

The 2016 Tricks & Treats in the Park will kickoff with the Monster Mile Fun Run at 4:30 pm and follow with the Tricks & Treats Trail from 5-7 pm. Runners in the Monster Mile will receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last. After the spooky run, take a stroll along the Tricks & Treats Trail and enjoy the many festivities including a petting zoo, moonwalks, a pumpkin patch photo station, games and candy! 

Local businesses and organizations are invited to host an activity booth along the trail. If you are interested in this community partnership opportunity, please email .


Fall Craft Fair

Cost: Free for the public

Find your holiday gifts early this year at the Missouri City Fall Craft Fair! Browse through a variety of items such as jewelry, holiday décor, novelties, home goods and more! The craft fair will be free for the public to attend. Shoppers are advised to bring cash for their form of payment. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. 

This event is currently accepting vendors. If you are interested in being a vendor, please submit the completed application, photo of sample of work, and $30 booth fee by the cut off date Friday, October 14. The application can be found on the link to the right. Due to limited space, applications received after the deadline or that do not meet our requirements/needs are subject to refusal. 

The booth fee will be returned to those artists not selected for the show. All booth fees will be deposited upon acceptance. In the event of withdrawal, the booth fee will not be refunded.
