Acrylic Painting Classes
Acrylic Painting Class

Cost: $75 per 5 week session

Beginners welcome! Classes are taught by professional painter Heather Roy and held in 5 week sessions meeting on Tuesdays. Each session, participants will complete an acrylic painting to take home. All supplies are provided. Sign up at the Recreation and Tennis Center!

Join us for a tour of the Missouri City Public Works Department and Animal Shelter. See how street signs are made and check out the traffic control center. Following the Public Works tour will be a stop at the Animal Shelter. Get a behind the scenes look at what and who it takes to keep our city running smoothly.

On the day of the tour, we will meet at the Streets Building A located at 1919 Scanlin Rd (by the Animal Shelter). RSVP today by calling 281-403-8637.

Join us for a wild fun time in Alvin! Take a ride-a-long safari tour of the Bayou Wildlife Zoo and enjoy an up-close visit with the animals. Following the zoo will be a stop at Joe’s Barbeque Company for lunch! Rounding out the day’s activities will be a visit to Froberg’s Farm where participants can explore the bakery and meat market and bring back a tasty souvenir. Limited spots are available. Missouri City’s patriotic tradition offers plenty of fun and excitement for the whole family! From 6-9 pm, enjoy free family fun activities. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. The fireworks show will conclude the evening's festivities and will begin at 9:15. Stadium seating is available at Thurgood Marshall High School.

Cost: $15 per player, $5 discount for Rec members

Join your friends and fellow tennis players for a morning of tennis and for what is sure to be a jolly good time! This tournament is a round-robin format, guaranteeing all entrants get multiple matches. In keeping with Wimbledon tradition, this fun and social one-day event will feature strawberries & cream, non-alcoholic mimosas, coffee, and tea. Raffle Tickets will be given out to all players wearing ALL white. Senior Casino Trip

Travel with great company as we journey to the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana! Upon arriving to the casino, trip participants will receive a $10 gaming voucher. This trip has limited capacity - to reserve your spot, stop by the Rec & Tennis Center to pay the $10 transportation fee. On the day of the trip, we will meet at the Rec & Tennis Center at 7:00 am and leave at 7:30 am.

LEGO Summer Camp

The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects for galaxy far, far away.
