Pickleball: Open Play

Play one of the fastest growing sports in America! Pickleball is a racquet sport played by 2-4 people that has elements similar to badminton and tennis. This recreational open play time welcomes all levels to attend. A membership at the Rec & Tennis Center is required to play. Non-members will be required to purchase a $5 day pass.

This class teaches participants proper form and technique on various muscular strength and endurance by using a variety of movements.

Acrylic Painting Classes

Cost: $75 per 5 week session

Classes are taught by professional painter Heather Roy. Each session, participants will complete an acrylic painting to take home. All supplies are provided! 

Mah Jongg

Multi-Purpose Room

Mah Jongg is a tile game usually played by 4 people that has been embraced all around the world. Practice your skills while building friendships.

Bingo
Senior Bingo

The Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department hosts senior bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+. Enjoy refreshments with friends while playing for great prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the door. This program is held at the Rec & Tennis Center and rotates each month from morning to evening.

Senior Foodies
Senior Foodies

Are you a food enthusiast? Enjoy meeting new friends? Join us for Senior Foodies! This program for senior citizens (50+), is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant with great company. All participants are encouraged to RSVP at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637. On the day of the event, we will meet at the designated lunch location. Separate checks will be issued for each participant.

Field Trips
Senior Casino Trip
Delta Downs

Cost: $10

Travel with great company to the Delta Downs Casino! The fun-filled day will include socializing, dining and game play. All trip participants are responsible for providing their own money for lunch and game play. On the day of the trip, we will meet at the Recreation & Tennis Center at 7:15 am and leave at 7:30 am. All trip participants will be required to fill out a waiver. Upon arriving to the Delta Downs Casino each participant will have their choice to receive a $5 playing card OR a $10 dining credit. This trip has limited capacity - to reserve your spot, stop by the Recreation & Tennis Center to pay the $10 transportation fee.

Cost: $20, participants will need to bring money for lunch

Join us for a trip to Old Town Spring! Browse through over 150 shops - boutiques, museums, galleries, restaurants and antique shops and enjoy a tasty lunch at Ellen’s Cafe. This trip will also include a stop at the National Museum of Funeral History. This educational experience is like no other and offers something for everyone. Discover America’s largest collection of authentic, historical funeral service items. Learn about caskets and coffins, hearses through history, plus the funerals of Presidents, Popes, celebrities and more while you witness the cultural heritage of the funeral service industry and its time-honored tradition of compassion. 

Check in begins at 8:45 am and the bus leaves at 9:00 am. Register at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637.

Find your holiday gifts early this year at the Missouri City Fall Craft Fair! Browse through a variety of items such as jewelry, holiday décor, novelties, home goods and more! The craft fair will be free for the public to attend. Shoppers are advised to bring cash for their form of payment. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Due to limited space, applications received after the deadline or that do not meet our requirements/needs are subject to refusal.
