Responsibilities & Services
The Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department is a Gold Medal Award-winning department that maintains and operates 20 developed parks totaling 393 acres. The department also maintains the Missouri City Recycling Center.

The Recreation and Tennis Center houses a cardio and weight room, gymnasium, batting cages, multi-purpose rooms, locker rooms and tennis courts.

Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department has daytime and evening recreational programs and provides numerous special events throughout the year.

This program is for senior citizens (50 & up). Come fellowship with your peers, enjoy breakfast and play competitive rounds of bingo for great prizes! Tickets can be purchased at the door. 

Shrimp Boil Tennis Festival
September 18-20
Tournament begins Friday @ 6:00 pm

Missouri City's first ever Shrimp Boil Tennis Festival invites doubles teams for a weekend of tennis fun! The tournament guarantees 2 matches per team and all matches will be 2 sets, no add, 7 point tie break at 6 all with the 3rd set being a 10 point match tie break. Tournament cost is $35 per person and includes a player's shrimp boil lunch to be held on Saturday, September 19. Extra lunch tickets can be purchased for $15.

To register, drop off or mail payments and entry forms to the Recreation & Tennis Center. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 10.
