Rental, Mortgage & Utility (RMU) Assistance Program
Missouri City has approved $500,000 in funding from the federal CARES Act for the Rental, Mortgage & Utilities (RMU) Assistance Program, which will help eligible citizens pay their rent, mortgage and utilities beginning Oct. 2020 through Dec. 2020, or until all funds are exhausted.
The program launches Sept. 28, 2020 at 9 a.m. but tenants (if you are renting or have a lease) and homeowners (if you have a mortgage) must prepare NOW!
Residents interested in rental assistance, utility assistance, or both can apply online: SUBMIT APPLICATION
For more information or if you or a family member do not have access to a computer/internet, you may contact the program call center at 281.403.8690. However, applying online is the most efficient and effective way to enroll in the program.
Landlords and mortgage companies are invited to enroll in the Missouri City RMU assistance program as well, so that they could receive rent/mortgage payments from the eligible/approved Missouri City tenants/homeowners.
There is a separate process for the landlords/mortgage companies to be enrolled, and that can be done online as well.
