Small Business Lease/Mortgage Assistance Grant

Funded by the CARES Act, the MCTX Small Business Lease/Mortgage Assistance Grant Program is a collective effort to provide grants up to $15,000 to Missouri City small businesses still impacted by COVID-19. These supplemental funds are designed to help the most vulnerable businesses to remain open and assist with their business lease or mortgage payments. These funds may not cover all expenses but are intended to bridge the most immediate financial needs.

The program will launch on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 and small businesses may begin applying via the link below. Applicants will be assisted on a first come, first serve basis, until all funds are accounted for or exhausted.

Rental, Mortgage & Utility (RMU) Assistance Program

Missouri City has approved $500,000 in funding from the federal CARES Act for the Rental, Mortgage & Utilities (RMU) Assistance Program, which will help eligible citizens pay their rent, mortgage and utilities beginning Oct. 2020 through Dec. 2020, or until all funds are exhausted. The program launched on Sept. 28, 2020 at 9 a.m. and residents interested in rental assistance, utility assistance, or both can apply online:

Landlord & Mortgage Company Enrollment

Landlords and mortgage companies are invited to enroll in the Missouri City RMU assistance program as well, so that they could receive rent/mortgage payments from the eligible/approved Missouri City tenants/homeowners. 

There is a separate process for the landlords/mortgage companies to be enrolled, and that can be done online as well.
