The Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer programs and events that encourage active participation for youth and adults with varying levels of disabilities or limitations. In an encouraging and structured environment, participants will engage in various musical exercises that emphasize listening, coordination, peer support, self-expression, self-empowerment, and non-verbal communication. Classes are led by an instructor from Nameless Sound Music.

Discover a different active sport each month with our Adaptive Sports Day. Whether you’re learning a brand new sport, improving your skills, or just want to have fun, these days are for you! All sports will be adapted to the needs of the participant. Check out the upcoming sport for each month:

Explore your senses as you learn about caretaking in the natural world. Participants will assist with maintaining our brand new Sensory Garden, which includes three ADA-compliant raised garden beds, that are filled with plants and features that appeal to all five senses. We will also occasionally be working on small nature projects and learning from experts in the field.
