Get Hired will offer employers hiring incentives to attract employees & encourages those individuals to stay hired by paying incentives after 90 days of continuous employment. Incentives are paid to the employer who then disburses those funds directly to the employee.

Register your organization or business beginning September 8th.

The “Get Hired” Program funded by the American Rescue Plan Act will launch on September 8th in an effort to help Small Businesses hire and retain new employees.

Employers will be paid a 10% administrative fee to cover any of their incurred cost to process the incentive.

Eligible Businesses or Organizations

  • Business or not-for-profit organization is located and (business is generating revenue) in Fort Bend County.
  • Business/ Organization must have been active (incurring revenue & expenses) as of December 31,2020.
  • Revenue Requirements: $25,000 - $5,000,000 (as reported on 2020 Tax Return as gross sales and receipts).
  • Business/organization must have at least one (1) employee (or owner/employee) and no more than fifty (50) employees

Emergency Grant Program

If your business has been financially impacted by COVID-19, additional funding up to $25,000 is available. Fort Bend County has awarded more than $47 million through the Small Business Emergency Grant Program and more funds have been made available.

Forgivable Grants for Small Business Owners in Fort Bend County!

Forgivable grants are available now for Small Businesses substantially impacted by COVID-19. Any Small Business in Fort Bend County that saw a reduction in revenues by 25% or more in 2020, compared to 2019, is qualified.

The process is easy, online, and the rules are simple:

  • Your business must have at least one employee and must have at least $25,000 in annual revenue in 2020 and no more than $5,000,000. 
  • Your business must be significantly impacted by COVID-19, i.e. 25 percent revenue decline. 
  • Your business must have been open in 2019, or you must have been preparing to open your business prior to March 1, 2020. 
  • Grant money can be used for payroll or owner draws, commercial mortgage or lease payments, PPP, or advertising expenses.

Grant applications will open early May and will remain open until funds are exhausted.
