Responsibilities & Services

The Human Resources and Organizational Development (HR/OD) Department is responsible for the recruiting, selection, and classification of all individuals interested in employment with the city. Additionally, the HR/OD Department manages the city’s compensation plan, employee benefits, performance management, and citywide recognition programs.

The HR/OD department also supports all employees and champions’ excellence in city government by implementing programs and services according to the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Furthermore, department ensures that the city complies with all local, state, and federal regulations relative to human resources.

Organizational Development

The HR/OD Department fosters organizational and employee development through the identification, development, and delivery of training solutions that improve competency levels and best practices in essential areas generally associated with effective, efficient, and responsive organizations.
