The Missouri City Police Department is pleased to now offer free CPR classes for high school students. The classes are possible due to a community development initiative grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). The grant partners high school students with law enforcement officers to take the CPR class together, side by side. Students will receive a first aid kit, provided by the grant, while officers will receive a "go bag." The purpose of this program is to foster positive interactions and build lasting impressions, on both sides. The activity also teaches a necessary life skill that gets taken out in the community with proper resources to implement, should the need arise.
All classes will be held at Police Headquarters, 3845 Cartwright Road in Missouri City. Space is limited, so register today.
