Criminal Investigation

The Criminal Investigation Division operates under the supervision of the assigned Captain who reports to the assistant Chief of Police. One Lieutenant and three sergeants assist the Captain with the daily operations of this division.

The purpose of the Criminal Investigation Division is to conduct investigations of reported crimes against persons and/or property through the use of ten trained and skilled detectives, and three Criminalists. Each member is charged with the responsibility of preparing and completing an accurate document of information gathered for presentation of the County District Attorney for prosecution of the person(s) responsible for the crime.

One detective works with the Fort Bend Child Advocacy Center on a part time basis.
