Sign Permits & Temporary Banners

Sign Permits 

The City of Missouri City has extensive sign regulations intended to provide businesses with the visibility they need while protecting the visual aesthetics of the community. Sign regulations are contained in Section 13 of the Zoning Ordinance.

Signs are not included as part of a building permit, a separate sign permit is required.

Temporary Banners 

Banners are allowed at any one location for no more than 60 days per year. Grand Opening banners may be displayed for no more than 14 days, which counts toward the 60 day maximum. Banners advertising special or community events are allowed. All banners must be permitted in advance.

Special Events Permit

Special events require a separate events permit submitted at least five business days before the event. Complete a Special Events Permit Application and apply online via, Citizen Self Service (CSS).
