Buffalo Run Park

Park Overview

In April 2000, the City of Missouri City purchased 95 acres from Ft. Bend Independent School District for a storm water detention project in the Cangelosi Watershed. Although the four lakes are used for storm water retention, the City recently completed a park development project to improve this property into an outstanding park with multiple outdoor opportunities for all ages.

Buffalo Run Park is a stunning nature park which features 3 covered pavilions, a unique observation tower, fishing piers, nature trails, restrooms, a public boat ramp, sand volleyball court, and many other amenities outlined below. All four lakes are connected and navigable by boats (a NO WAKE rule is in effect for all water vessels.)
