Brittany Rychlik joined the City of Missouri City as the new Director of Court Services in January of 2017. Brittany has over twelve years of local government experience. Brittany served in several roles with the City of Sugar Land including the Deputy Court Administrator, Code Enforcement Coordinator, Code Enforcement Inspector, and Deputy Court Clerk. Prior to working for municipalities Brittany was a Corrections Officer for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
Rychlik earned her Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from the Columbia Southern University, her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston and her Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Wharton County Junior College. Brittany completed the three year program through the Institute for Court Management to become a Certified Court Manager and she also obtained her Level III clerk certification earning the designation of Certified Municipal Court Clerk.
Brittany is an active member of the Texas Court Clerks Association at both the state and local levels. She is a Director at Large for the state, co-chairing the Technology Committee and assisting on the conference planning committee. On the local chapter level, Brittany is the Vice-President for the Gulf Coast Chapter and chairs the Education Committee as well as the Website Committee. In 2014 Brittany was awarded the Distinguished Service Award at the annual conference. In 2016 Rychlik was recognized for her hard work and dedication to TCCA by being awarded the Extraordinary Achievement Award at the annual conference. She was also awarded the Clerk of the Year award for the Gulf Coast Chapter in 2016.
