The City Council meets regularly on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are open to the public. The City Council sets policy for the governance of the City of Missouri City. Missouri City Television rebroadcasts regular City Council meetings on Channel 16 on Comcast Cable and on Channel 99 on U-Verse.

The Parks Board meets on a regular basis on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public. The Board consists of 13 members appointed by City Council for staggered two year terms. This Board serves in an advisory capacity to City Council on parks and recreation policy matters. Missouri City residence is required to be a member.

This event is sure to be a hoppin’ good time! Work your way through the Rec & Tennis Center stopping at 5 Crazy Hare themed stations. Complete each station to earn your bunny ears, nose, tail, and crazy hair! The evening will have an open format, and families can come and go at their own leisure. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Parent supervision is required throughout the evening.

Free softball skills & drills clinics will be offered several Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the spring at Sta-Mo park. Girls ages 6-16 are invited to attend. Call 281-403-8637 to register.

Join us for a trip to beautiful Brenham! Explore the historic downtown with stops at Simon Theatre, Glissman’s Pharmacy, Toubin Park, Fire Museum, and the Blue Bell parlor. Participants will enjoy a tasty lunch at the Must be Heaven restaurant. Following lunch will be a visit to Windy Winery for a tour and wine tasting. Please wear comfortable walking shoes as there will be an extensive amount of walking. Check in begins at the Recreation & Tennis Center at 7:30 am and the bus will depart at 8:00 am. The Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department hosts senior bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+. Visit with your peers, enjoy dinner and play friendly rounds of bingo for great prizes! Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

City offices are closed on Friday, April 19, 2019, for Good Friday.

This class is taught by professional painter, Heather Roy and is held in 5 week sessions. This session will take place every Tuesday from April 23-May 21 and students will paint "Tuscan Poppies".
