MCTX Ranked As One of Top Cities to Live In Texas

Missouri City was named to the list of the “Best Cities to Live in Texas, 2019” by Chamber of Commerce, an online organization that assists with the longevity of small businesses. Missouri City came in at number 13 on the list, which is the third-highest ranking in the region. Some of our neighboring cities that made the list include Houston at 2, Sugar Land at 9, Stafford at 23, and Pearland at 52.

“We are extremely honored to be recognized as one of the best cities to live in Texas,” said Mayor Yolanda Ford. “Our city has grown tremendously over the years as more people learn what we have to offer. Being designated a safe and platinum scenic city gives people not only peace of mind, but also invites them to explore the diverse opportunities the ‘Show Me City’ has for homeowners, business owners, stakeholders and visitors.”

The grading criteria was based on employment, housing, quality of life, education, and health. For the full list of the top 100 cities, Click Here.

“Economic development has been a driving force in our city for many years, which has caused a large increase in job availability,” said City Manager Anthony Snipes. “When you combine our City’s job market with factors such as our diversity, we can proudly stand tall as one of the best cities in Texas.”
