To improve efficiencies and customer service, the Development Services Department is changing the hours of operations for the Planning/Inspections/Permits front office where development applications/other documents and alarm permit payments are submitted by the public.
Effective Tuesday, Oct. 1 the office, which is located in the City Hall Complex, 1522 Texas Pkwy., will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. The area was previously scheduled to be open until 5 p.m., however, now staff will utilize the one-hour period from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. “to follow-up on pending applications, permits and inspections and to address stakeholder inquiries,” said Director of Development Services Otis T. Spriggs.
After 4 p.m. residents and stakeholders will still have the ability to:
- Pay alarm permits online via this City website link: http://bit.ly/2lCjFLu
- Call 281.403.8600 and leave a voice message; all calls will be returned in a timely manner.
- Meet with essential staff by scheduling an appointment ahead of time.
“This additional hour everyday will give staff the dedicated time to complete administrative needs which include returning phone calls, answering emails, completing paperwork and participating in training workshops,” Spriggs said.
