As the fall months arrive, flu season accompanies them. This flu season will pose a bigger challenge due to COVID-19. The State of Texas has seen approximately 875,000 COVID-19 cases, including over 2,700 cases in Missouri City, and the rate in which the case count decreases has declined.
It is important to remember that this pandemic is still prevalent and has no signs of going away this calendar year. We all have made sacrifices over the past seven months, and it’s crucial that we continue to put others first. Keeping the most vulnerable in our community safe by socially distancing and practicing healthy habits such as washing your hands and staying home when ill continues to be everybody’s biggest priority. The facial covering order is still in place in Missouri City throughout November 30, and the full order can be seen here: Click Here.
Communities around the world have learned to coexist with COVID-19, and the “Show Me City” continues to move forward in the safest way possible. The City will remain vigilant in this fight and will keep the interests of our residents first. Missouricityready.com, the City’s emergency management website, will remain the dedicated outlet for all COVID-related developments. Please stay safe, and remember to wear a mask.
