Citizens have contacted elected officials and staff regarding the Frontier Communications utility project and the impact it’s having on the MCTX Platinum Scenic community. Residents’ concerns on all issues are an ongoing priority and, in this case, the City is working closely with Frontier to ensure concerns regarding water lines, lack of communication and alleged leveling of some yards are mitigated properly in a timely manner.
Officials and staff are also working to make sure that, moving forward, the outreach process on these types of projects is an improved, coordinated effort. In a meeting today with the City and Frontier officials, staff notified the utility that the City will require that residents be notified 48 hours minimum prior to the start of new construction, and that Frontier’s contact information be provided to residents as well so any concerns may be directly communicated to the company during the construction process.
