At their Monday, Oct. 18 In-Person Regular Meeting in the Community Center, Councilmembers authorized the final project list and the reallocation of certain funds to Fort Bend County, Texas, for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Here is a rundown of all Council actions at the meeting:
Consent Agenda
- Approved the minutes of the Special and Regular City Council Meetings of Oct. 4, 2021.
Public Hearing
- Public Hearing & Related Actions: Held a public hearing to receive comments on a franchise requested by CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC to use the public rights-of-way within Missouri City, Texas, for electricity services; and approved a related ordinance on the first of three readings.
Authorizations
- Discussed a budget request for $398,000 for the completion of City Council Chambers, 2nd floor Vestibule and City Hall Lobby renovations/upgrades; however no action was taken at this meeting. Project is expected to come back to council on the upcoming meeting.
- Authorized the final project list and the reallocation of certain funds to Fort Bend County, Texas, for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
