Presentations & Recognitions
- Administered the oath of office to the 2021-2022 Mayor’s Youth Commission members.

- Recognized the month of November 2021, as “National Epilepsy Awareness Month” in City Council announcements.

Consent Agenda
- Approved the minutes of the Special and Regular City Council Meetings of Oct. 18, 2021.
- Authorized the purchase of fire apparatus equipment, personnel safety equipment and an equipment service agreement.
- Authorized the acceptance of the Quarterly Investment Report for the Quarter Ended on Sept. 30, 2021.
Public Hearing
- Zoning Public Hearing & Ordinances
- Held a public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to grant a specific use permit authorizing the use of a 14.98-acre tract of land in the City of Missouri City as a specific use: places of assembly; providing limitations; restrictions, and conditions on such specific use; amending the zoning district map of the City of Missouri City; providing for repeal; providing a penalty; providing for severability; containing other provisions relating to the subject. The subject item is referred to as Miracle City Church and the subject site is located north of East Hampton Circle, south of Fondren Park subdivision, east of Kathy Avenue, and west of Fondren Road. Council voted unanimously to disapprove the ordinance as presented.
- Held a public hearing to receive comments for or against a request to amend Planned Development District No. 85 to allow for MF-2, multifamily residential district uses; providing for an amendment to the comprehensive plan; providing a penalty. The subject item is referred to as the Paloma Residences and the site location is north of the Pine Meadows residential subdivision, south of US 90A, east of Bull Lane, and west of South Cravens Road. Council motioned to approve the ordinance with additional restrictions, however it failed to pass (3/4).
- Held a public hearing to receive comments for or against an ordinance amending Section 18, Board of Adjustment, of Appendix A of the Missouri City Code, entitled, “The City of Missouri City Zoning Ordinance;” amending rules and regulations for board powers and the hearing of appeals; providing a penalty. The ordinance was approved on the first of two readings.
Authorizations
- Approved the parkland dedication proposal for Vicksburg Single Family Rentals (Dinerstein).
- Considered a budget request not to exceed $378,000 for the completion of City Council Chambers, 2nd floor Vestibule and City Hall Lobby renovations and upgrades. Council only authorized the “need to have” construction items totaling $60,104.
Ordinances
- Approved an ordinance establishing procedures for the consideration of Economic Development Projects within the City on the first of two readings.
