Consent Agenda
- Approved the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of Jan. 18, 2022.
- Accepted the Quarterly Investment Report for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2021.
- Approved the city manager’s designation of Sedrick Cole as the acting city manager.
- Authorized the execution of a three-year renewal for maintenance of the existing citywide storage solution.
- Authorized the execution of a change order to an existing contract for the Regional Surface Water Plant Phase II Expansion Project to include an access platform for a disc filter.
- Approved an ordinance on the second and final reading, for rezoning an approximate 6.69 acre tract of land from LC-2 local retail district to CF community facilities district; providing for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and providing a penalty.
Authorizations
- Authorized the city manager to allocate and expend American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds based on the presented spending plan for eligible and needed projects.
- Authorized the parkland dedication proposal for Modera Missouri City.
- Authorized the city manager to execute a contract with Musco Sports Lighting for the purchase and installation of sports field lighting at Hunters Glen Park.
Ordinances
- Approved an ordinance to amend the Fiscal Year 2022 Adopted Budget.
- Consider an ordinance on the first of two readings to amend Chapter 30, Environment, of the Missouri City Code; regulating discharges to the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System and providing a penalty. This item was pulled from this agenda.
Resolutions
- Approved a resolution authorizing the submission of a Program Year 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant application to the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor through the Houston-Galveston Area Council to fund the purchase of fingerprinting equipment for the Missouri City Police Department.
- Approved a resolution adopting redistricting guidelines.
- Approved a resolution amending the City of Missouri City’s Investment Policy.
- Approved a resolution establishing guidelines for the submission of comments and redistricting proposals.
- Approved a resolution authorizing certain officials to negotiate and execute certain documents for the purpose of making authorized investments and deposits to financial institutions.
- Consider a resolution finding a public necessity in acquiring certain real property interests in connection with a proposed road project and proposed park project north of Highway 90A and east of Sam Houston Parkway; and authorizing such acquisition with respect to one or more parcels needed for such projects.
