The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is installing new medians on FM 1092 (Murphy Road). The construction began in Stafford and is progressing southward on FM 1092 towards Highway 6.
Per TxDOT, the project is currently ahead of schedule, and work in Missouri City could begin as early as tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 15. To avoid lane closures and minimize traffic disruptions, the City Council approved a plan for the bulk of construction to be done between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
As this is a TxDOT project, the City has limited control over the construction. However, staff is working with TxDOT representatives to address the concerns of residents and business owners in the affected corridor.
