At the Monday, Dec. 5 Regular Meeting, Councilmembers recognized Mayor’s Youth Commission officers; recognized Sedrick Cole for serving as Interim City Manager; recognized Sonya Brown-Marshall for her service on the Planning & Zoning Commission; and administered the oath of office to Angel Jones as the 10th City Manager. Presentations & Recognitions
- Recognized the following Mayor’s Youth Commission Officers: President, Teresa Joseph; Vice President, Dylan Barrow; Secretary, Ann Antony; and Historian, Elizabeth Ellison.

- Recognized Sedrick Cole for serving the City as the Interim City Manager.

- Recognized Sonya Brown-Marshall for 18 years of service on the Planning & Zoning Commission.

- Administered the oath of office to Angel Jones as the 10th City Manager.

Consent Agenda
- Approved (5-0) the minutes of the regular City Council meeting of Nov. 7, 2022, and the regular and special City Council meetings on Nov. 21, 2022.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Thin Line Upfitters towards vehicle markings for seven new vehicles in an amount of $117,918.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with Verizon utilizing an updated DIR-TELE-CTSA-003 for services over $50,000.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Lake Country Chevrolet for the purchase of two new vehicles in the amount of $60,062.
- Approved (6-0) the 10/20 Year Write Off of Property Taxes in the amount of $6,132.79.
Authorizations
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to approve a contract with Brooks Concrete to pour a concrete sidewalk/trail at Community Park from Parks Edge pedestrian bridge at Mustang Bayou to Pavilion 1 and nearby playground in the amount not exceeding $77,969.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Caldwell County Chevrolet, for the purchase of seven new vehicles in the amount of $308,690.
Resolutions
- Approved (6-0) a resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement between the City of Missouri City and Ramond W. Howard P.C. for facade improvements at 1303 Turtle Creek Drive, Missouri City, TX 77489.
- Approved (6-0) a resolution identifying certain officials within the authority to maintain account with Wells Fargo National Bank Association for the City of Missouri City nonprofit Trust for the payment of certain employee benefits and containing other provisions relating to the subject.
- Approved (6-0) a resolution identifying certain officials within authority to open and maintain a city account or accounts with Wells Fargo Bank, National Association; providing for repeal; and containing other provisions relating to the subject.
