At the Monday, September 18 Regular Meeting, council members authorized the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract to purchase traffic equipment and parts from Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc.; approved an ordinance adopting an ad valorem tax rate for the City of Missouri City, Texas, upon all taxable property within the corporate limits of the city for the Fiscal year ending September 30, 2024; and approved an ordinance establishing procedures for the consideration of the Economic Development Project Patio Program within the City. Consent Agenda
- Approved (7-0) the special and regular City Council meeting of September 5, 2023.
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute a three-year contract with Envirodyne Laboratories, Inc. for Lab Testing at Steepbank Flatbank Wastewater Treatment Plant in an amount not to exceed $152,375.
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to execute a contract with Nelisa Heddin Consulting LLC, for Annual True Up and On-Call Utility Financial Services in an amount not to exceed $100,000.
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to execute a design contract with HDR Engineering for Lantern Lane Street Reconstruction Project in an amount not to exceed $221,312.50
- Authorized (7-0) Authorized the City Manager to negotiate and execute a three (3) year contract with Sunbelt Rentals for Rental of Equipment utilized by multiple departments including, but not limited to, Fleet, Streets, and Parks, not to exceed $60,000 per year.
- Approved (7-0) an ordinance adopting the Mobility and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Master Plans, and Thoroughfare Plan Map.
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of Fire Department Emergency Portable Radios in an amount not to exceed $285,000.
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute the renewal of a software license and maintenance agreement with Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc, in an amount not to exceed $64,249
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to execute and agreement to purchase a brush chipper for the Forestry Division of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $65,346.5

- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to negotiate and execute the renewal of Cameleon ITS software license and maintenance agreement with Teledyne FLIR in an amount not to exceed $43,000
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to execute an agreement to purchase a parade trolley in the amount not to exceed $81,000
- Authorized (7-0) the City Manager to execute a contract with CenterPoint for the installation of street lights on Knight Rd., for an amount not to exceed $55,000

- Held a public hearing and approved (7-0) an ordinance approving and adopting a budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2023, and ending on September 30, 2024.
- Held a public hearing and approved (7-0) an ordinance adopting an ad valorem tax rate for the City of Missouri City, Texas, upon all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2024; and directing the assessment and collection thereof.
